Herkimer College Offering SUNY Reconnect Information Sessions
Sessions will cover qualifications, eligible degree programs, support services for adults, and application process
HERKIMER, NY, June 20, 2025 — Herkimer College is offering SUNY Reconnect information sessions on Tuesday, June 24 at 5:30 and Saturday, June 28 at 10 a.m. Both sessions will be held virtually and are expected to last approximately one hour.
SUNY Reconnect is designed for New York State residents aged 25-55 who have not earned a college degree. Qualifying students can enroll full-time or part-time in select associate degree programs aligned with workforce needs. The program covers the cost of tuition, fees, books, and supplies after financial aid is applied.
Degree programs eligible for SUNY Reconnect funding at Herkimer College include:
- Childhood Education A.S
- Computer and Network Security A.A.S
- Computer Science A.S.
- Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics A.S. (also offered entirely online)
- Electrical Technology A.A.S.
- Engineering Science A.S.
- Health Professions A.S.
- Physical Therapist Assistant A.A.S
- Quality Assurance-Science A.S. (also offered entirely online)
Students enrolled through SUNY Reconnect will also benefit from flexible scheduling, dedicated support services, and academic advising tailored to adult learners balancing work, family, and school responsibilities.
